Itinerary: Tsavo East National Park & Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Discover Kenya’s wild contrasts red plains, lush springs, and Kilimanjaro views where iconic wildlife and breathtaking scenery create an unforgettable safari experience.
Day 1: Nairobi → Tsavo East National Park
Morning Pickup: Depart from your Nairobi hotel early at 6:00 a.m. Scenic Drive: Journey through the vibrant landscapes of Kenya, stopping briefly at the scenic Mombasa Highway viewpoint.
Arrival at Tsavo East: Reach the Buchuma Gate by late morning (approx. 11:00 a.m.) and begin your first game drive. Lunch & Relaxation: Arrive at your camp (e.g., Ashnil Aruba Camp) in Tsavo East by 1:00 p.m. Relax, enjoy lunch, and take in the bush surroundings.
Afternoon Game Drive: At about 3:30 p.m., head out for a thrilling game drive in the park, known for its red elephants and diverse wildlife.
Evening: Return to camp by sunset (around 6:30 p.m.), enjoy a hearty dinner, and relax under the African sky. Overnight at Ashnil Aruba Camp
(L/D).
Day 2: Tsavo East → Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Early Morning Game Drive: Wake up at 6:00 a.m. for a sunrise game drive spot early risers like lions, giraffes, and zebras in the morning light. Breakfast & Departure: Return to camp for breakfast (around 8:30 a.m.). Then head towards the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, about a 2-hour drive.
Arrival & Lunch: Check in to Sarova Salt Lick Lodge by mid-day (around 12:30 p.m.). Perched on stilts, the lodge offers stunning views over the plains. Afternoon Game Drive: At about 3:30 p.m., enjoy a game drive in the sanctuary, famous for its unique viewing platforms and rich wildlife elephants, impalas, and more.
Evening: Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (B/L/D).
Day 3: Taita Hills → Nairobi
Morning Game Drive: Rise early (6:00 a.m.) for one last game drive as the sun rises over Taita Hills. After, return to the lodge for breakfast.
Drive Back to Nairobi: After breakfast, depart for Nairobi, with a lunch stop along the way.
Arrival in Nairobi: You’ll arrive back at your hotel in the afternoon (approx. 3:30–4:00 p.m.), filled with incredible safari memories.
